Gerber FCU Colleagues Complete CPR, First Aid & AED Training

FREMONT, Mich. (8/12/2026) Gerber Federal Credit Union (Gerber FCU) colleagues recently participated in an on-site First Aid, CPR and AED certification training, enhancing their ability to respond quickly and confidently in the event of a medical emergency.

As part of its ongoing commitment to the safety and well-being of colleagues, members and visitors, Gerber FCU has also purchased Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for placement at each branch location. The new equipment, combined with hands-on emergency response training, helps ensure that life-saving resources are readily available when needed most.

The training, led by Certified Trainer Mark Wyn, incorporated the latest science and best practices in emergency response, teaching participants how to recognize and respond to a variety of situations, including burns, cuts, sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries, heat- and cold-related emergencies, and breathing and cardiac events involving both adults and children. Participants also received instruction on CPR techniques and the proper use of AEDs.

The initiative reflects Gerber FCU's commitment to fostering a culture of preparedness, care and community responsibility. By equipping branch locations with AEDs and empowering colleagues with life-saving skills, the credit union is helping protect the health and safety of those who work in, visit and do business with its branches.
