We are so excited for this important upgrade! On Monday, January 8, 2024 at 9:00am EST, our mobile and online banking will become Gerber FCU Digital Banking and will offer a greatly enhanced experience for managing your accounts.

PLEASE NOTE: On Monday, January 8, 2024 from 8am to 8:59am EST, mobile and online banking may be unavailable as we transition to the all-new Digital Banking.

STEPS TO GET REGISTERED FOR DIGITAL BANKING

Review the following helpful tips to make sure you're ready to go on January 8th:

  1. Ensure your contact information is up to date including your mobile phone number and email address. You can update this now in online banking.
  2. iOS users will need to update their existing app, look for the update in the App Store. Android users will need to download the new app. You will need to delete your existing app and search the Play Store for "Gerber FCU". 
  3. If you are accessing via a web browser, your device must use an up to date operating system and currently supported browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge.
  4. Register for Digital Banking. Existing usernames and passwords WILL NOT be converted to the new system. (See more detail below)
  5. Enable Biometric Authentication with Face/Touch ID on iOS or Fingerprint on Android from the security page.

DETAILS FOR REGISTRATION

When registering for digital banking, ensure you know:

  • Primary member's account number or 16-digit card number
  • Last 4 of primary member's social security number/TIN
  • Primary member's date of birth

Access Registration
From the Login screen on desktop, navigate to the registration page using the "Register" button. For iOS or Android, navigate to the "Register" link by choosing "More" in the bottom menu.

Register
Complete the registration form to verify your identity. If the information is correct, you will be prompted to create a username and password.

Sign In
After successful registration, you will be able to sign in. On your first sign in on any browser or device, you will be required to retrieve a verification code from an email address or phone number we have on file (aka 2-factor authentication). During this process, you can opt to trust the browser/device you are using to skip 2-factor authentication on subsequent sign ins.

Biometric Authentication
After your first sign in on a mobile device, you will be prompted to set up Face/Touch ID on iOS or Fingerprint on Android. This can also be set up from the Mobile Features page under Settings. You must trust your device during the 2-factor authentication sign in process to use biometric authentication.

CHANGES FOR QUICKEN, QUICKBOOKS, TURBO TAX, MINT, ETC.

You will need to take action to ensure that your data transfers smoothly to the upgraded digital banking system.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I update my contact information?
Prior to January 8, 2024, log in to online or mobile banking and update. You may also contact Member Service at (231) 924-4880 option 2.

What are the password requirements?

  • Must be between 8 and 20 characters
  • Must contain a number, special character and both upper and lowercase letters
  • Special characters not allowed include a space and any of the following characters @ :  . , ~
  • New password must have at least 2 different characters than the last password
  • Cannot be a password you have used the last 4 times
  • Cannot contain personal data such as social security number, date of birth, or address

What are the username requirements?
Must be between 8 and 15 characters. It cannot start with a number and may not contain any special characters.

Will I have to change my username and password?
Yes, you will need to create your username and password in digital banking.

Will I have to re-set up my automatic payments?
No. Existing automatic payments and transfers are not affected by the upgrade.

Will I have to re-enter my bill pay information?
No, existing bill payees and scheduled payments will transfer over to the new digital banking. Be sure to confirm this transferred correctly once you get registered.

Can I still deposit checks in the app?
Yes, Mobile Check Deposit is available on the new system.
