We are so excited for this important upgrade! Our mobile and online banking has become Gerber FCU Digital Banking and offers a more consistent experience for managing your accounts on any device.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE ALL-NEW DIGITAL BANKING

  1. Ensure your contact information is up to date including your mobile phone number and email address. If you need to make updates, call Member Service at (231) 924-4880, option 2, prior to digital banking registration.
     
  2. iOS and Android users will first need to delete your existing Gerber FCU app. Next click the appropriate link above to download the new app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Be sure the app you are downloading says "Gerber FCU" NOT GFCU. 
     
  3. If you are accessing via a web browser, your device must use an up to date operating system and currently supported browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge. Click LOGIN at the upper right-hand corner of this page and select 'Register' to get started.
     
  4. Register for Digital Banking. You will need to create a new Username and Password. See requirements below.
     
  5. Enable Biometric Authentication with Face/Touch ID on iOS or Fingerprint on Android from the security page.

How to Register for Digital Banking

DETAILS FOR REGISTRATION

When registering for digital banking, ensure you know:

  • Primary member's account number or 16-digit card number
  • Last 4 of primary member's social security number/tax ID number for businesses
  • Primary member's date of birth

Attention Business and Organization accounts: The Date of Birth for non-individual type accounts is either the date the business or organization was opened, or it could be the Date of Birth of the primary owner.  If you don’t use a Tax ID for your account, you would use the primary owner information. If you need additional assistance, please contact Member Service prior to January 8th so we can share these details with you.

Access Registration
From the Login screen on desktop, navigate to the registration page using the "Register" button. For iOS or Android, navigate to the "Register" link by choosing "More" in the bottom menu.

Register
Complete the registration form to verify your identity. If the information is correct, you will be prompted to create a username and password.

Sign In
After successful registration, you will be able to sign in. On your first sign in on any browser or device, you will be required to retrieve a verification code from an email address or phone number we have on file (aka 2-factor authentication). During this process, you can opt to trust the browser/device you are using to skip 2-factor authentication on subsequent sign ins.

Biometric Authentication
After your first sign in on a mobile device, you will be prompted to set up Face/Touch ID on iOS or Fingerprint on Android. This can also be set up from the Mobile Features page under Settings. You must trust your device during the 2-factor authentication sign in process to use biometric authentication.

PLEASE NOTE: A business cannot sign up for Credit Score. However, the business owner can sign up using their social security number. The information displayed would be applicable to the business owner, not the business itself.

SAVINGS JAR

This is a "transactions round-up" program. The “rounded up” funds can be deposited into a savings account. Inside Digital Banking, click 'More Services' to learn more. Find out more when you click 'More Services' in the new digital banking.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I update my contact information?
Prior to January 8, 2024, log in to online or mobile banking and update. You may also contact Member Service at (231) 924-4880 option 2.

Will I have to re-set up my automatic payments?
No. Existing automatic payments and transfers are not affected by the upgrade.

Will I have to re-enter my bill payments and payees into the new Digital Banking?
There will be no changes to Bill Pay. All of your current Bill Pay settings will be the same as you left them.

Will I still be able to deposit checks in the app?
Yes, Mobile Check Deposit is available on the new system.

Will I have to change my username and password?
Yes, you will need to create your username and password in the new digital banking.

What are the username requirements?

  • Must be between 8 to 15 characters.
  • Cannot start with a number.
  • May not contain any special characters.
  • Valid characters are letters and numbers.

What are the password requirements?

  • Must be between 8 to 20 characters.
  • Must contain at least 1 number and at least 1 special character.
  • Special characters NOT allowed include a space and any of the following characters @ : . ~
  • Must contain at least 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase letter.
  • New password must have at least 2 different characters than the last password used.
  • Cannot repeat a character more than 4 times.
  • Cannot be a password you have used the last 4 times.
  • Cannot contain personal data (Soc#, Date of Birth, or Address).

When I click to view my e-Statement, nothing happens.
Please ensure that your browser's pop-up blocker is disabled or that you have clicked to allow full pop-up access for digital banking's features.

I set up a recurring payment to a loan on another member’s account, why don’t I see it with my scheduled payments?
Scheduled payments to a loan in another member’s account will show pending for the account where the payment will be posted, NOT in your account. 

Where can I see my aggregate account balances?
The aggregated account balance is available under the “Info” box in the Accounts area.

What happens when I select ‘Lock Card’ for a temporary lock on one of my plastic cards?
Temporary locks may become permanent and completely close the card after 30 days.

Can I edit a scheduled transfer?
You can update the date and/or frequency. However, if you wish to update the account that the transfer goes into, you will need to delete and create a new scheduled transfer.
