Gerber Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative. Our purpose is simple: to help you save, borrow, and thrive. By encouraging smart saving with fair returns and offering competitively low loan rates, we prioritize your financial well-being. Our cooperative model allows us to offer affordable financial services while remaining fiscally responsible. Because we’re not driven by profits, we focus solely on meeting the needs of our members.

Our Roots and Reach

Founded in 1950, Gerber FCU has been proudly serving Newaygo County and beyond or decades. Membership is open to individuals and businesses who live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in: 

  • Newaygo County, Michigan
  • Portions of Muskegon County, Michigan: Cedar Creek, Moorland, Casnovia, and Holton Townships
  • Portions of Oceana County, Michigan: Newfield Township and Greenwood Townships

You are also eligible if:

  • You're the spouse of someone who passed away while a member.
  • You have an immediate family member or household member who is eligible. 
    (Immediate family: spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, stepchild, or adopted child of the eligible primary member)
  • You represent an organization made up of eligible individuals.

Once you become a member, you're part of the Gerber FCU family for life - no matter where you live, work, or retire.
