Dormant Accounts

According to the Michigan Uniform Unclaimed Property Act of 1995, financial institutions must send all unclaimed property to the State Treasurer by July 1st of each year. In general, Unclaimed Property is defined as dormant accounts that have had no recorded activity, except dividends, in the past
three years.
